• Amazon expanded its fleet of electric delivery vans in Munich, Germany. The retailer ordered dozens of vans and scooters in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint.
  • Amazon is launching checkout terminals that allow shoppers to link their credit card information to their hands. The terminals will be available in coffee shops, fast-food restaurants and merchants that have a large base of repeat customers. If this technology works it will compete with mobile wallets like Apple Pay.
  • Amazon ended its ban on FedEx. Last month Amazon prohibited third-party sellers from using FedEx, reporting that its shipment speed wasn’t up to Amazon’s standard. The new agreement allows third-party sellers to use FedEx Ground to ship their products.
