The RealReal is a digitally-native luxury consignment retailer offering women’s clothing and accessories online and in its retail stores. The RealReal’s vast network of sellers, its messaging around sustainability and the circular economy along with its collaborations with designers, have made The RealReal a preferred luxury reseller in the U.S. But as the company has come under fire for controversial authentication practices, it will need to enforce a more streamlined process to avoid the sale of counterfeit products and maintain its reputation.
